Marion runs between Oaklands Road, Marion Road and Sturt Road, and the shopping centre that carries its name sits next door in Oaklands Park, also bordering Sturt Road. Elly Cafe at Westfield Marion is close by from just about anywhere in the suburb.
Marion started as a village on the banks of the Sturt River back in 1838. These days the river path, the Sturt River Linear Park, still runs from Marion through to Glenelg, so you can walk off lunch afterwards.

Getting here from Marion
Marion is bounded by Sturt Road to the south and Oaklands Road to the north, and the centre sits just west of the suburb between the two.
- By car: head west along Sturt Road or Oaklands Road towards the centre. Westfield Marion has its own car parks; check their website for current details.
- By bus: buses stop at the Marion Bus Interchange on the Sturt Road side of the centre. Check Adelaide Metro’s journey planner for your route.
- By train: Oaklands station on the Seaford line is within walking distance of the centre.
- On foot or by bike: the Sturt River Linear Park trail follows the river through Marion.
